Celina's Study Abroad Trip

Hello!
My name is Celina Vitocruz and I am a graduating senior at San Diego State University studying Kinesiology with an emphasis in Fitness Specialist. I am a student athlete on the SDSU Dance Team and I am currently serving as the Team President.
(I got to travel to Hawaii with my teammates to cheer on the Aztec Football Team in the Hawaii Bowl over winter break.)
When I am not in school, I am usually working at one of my part-time jobs. I currently work as a cook and server at a restaurant and I have a second job teaching dance and fitness at elementary schools. I have also recently started volunteering at a pediatric therapy clinic.
(Taking a silly photo with my co-workers after I received employee of the month!)
This semester, I am taking a Health and Human Services class that includes a 9-day field trip experience in Madrid, Spain. Completing this course will fulfill the international experience requirement needed by all graduating seniors in my college.
(In high school, I traveled to London to perform in the New Year's Day Parade with my best friend.)
I am grateful for this opportunity to travel to a different country and immerse myself in a different culture. While abroad, we will be visiting hospitals and orphanages to learn about the Health Systems in Spain. As a future professional in the Health Services field, I am excited to learn about the differences between Spanish and American healthcare and how I can use that knowledge to improve our lives back home. I am excited to meet new people and get out of my comfort zone and enjoy the last few months of my undergraduate career in this beautiful city. I am confident that this trip will enrich my educational experience and benefit my career choices after college.
(Next stop: Madrid, Spain!)
This past semster, I applied for a scholarship to help with my study abroad expenses. I was awarded enough funds to pay for a roundtrip flight to Spain. I have been saving up for the cost of my program fees and pocket money for food and transportation. However, on top of paying tuition, housing, books, and living expenses, I still fall a little short. This is where I need your help! Please help me offset the cost of this amazing opportunity by donating to my fund. Any amount will help! I am so blessed to have an amazing support system of family and friends. Thank you so much for making the effort to contribute to my education. I love you all!
