The epicentre was in Nepal, but the resounding ripples of shock and sadness were felt all over the world. It's a country that has touched many lives with its culture, beauty, and nature, and now it needs our help.
Craig Mitchell, from Victoria, BC is good friends with Tashi Sherpa in Nepal. They met there when Craig was hiking the Himalayas two and a half years ago.
Together they've come up with a grassroots disaster relief campaign that is reaching more people at a faster rate. Tashi has ties to a couple of manufacturers of blankets and face masks in Nepal and his father is a medical doctor, currently providing aid in pop-up clinics. The donations are now being used to buy medical supplies like gauze, disposable dressing kits, and tools.
