Central Coffee Community Relief Fund - Ukraine
Donation protected
On March 1st, 2022, my coffee shop, Central Coffee was destroyed by a Russian rocket. I started Central Coffee in 2016, in memory of my brother, and it became home to many beautiful social initiatives, art projects, and community gatherings over the years.
When I saw a video of the explosion on our main city square, my heart sank.
Not only the coffee shop was destroyed, but our neighbors that lived upstairs, many of them elderly, lost their apartments that winter.
Together with your support, we were able to provide them with food, medicine and other necessities while they had to live in the basement for several months. Because of your donations, we also provided food packages to many families in need around Kharkiv in the first months of the war when it was the most needed.
This May I started rebuilding the coffee shop. The war is not over yet, but we hate to see our beautiful building getting rotted and eaten away by neglect and destruction. We see a lot of people coming back to Kharkiv in the past few months, many without jobs or life savings. I believe the coffee shop can serve its original mission to provide workplaces to those in need and be a place of comfort for those who lost their safe place or are feeling lonely at this time when friends and family are scattered around the world. Here I will show our progress and keep you updated on how things are going in the city of Kharkiv.
Thank you all for this opportunity to rebuild my baby project and for supporting me so much throughout this long long war.
