Central High School Football Fundraiser!

Let's help our community and our local Central High school to raise $5,000 so we can buy them new helmets for their football team!

I wanted to share this heartfelt story below to help you understand the struggles that our local community might be facing. When we received this email, we knew that we needed to help!

My husband and I both own local businesses in the downtown area and one day our daughter will attend this school. My husband Ryan played for the football team at Central high school and back then the equipment was also not up to standards. Ryan will also be putting in his time to help coach the team. We are hoping that our community can donate and help us raise money to support these kids and give them a fighting chance against other schools. Every dollar counts and we would be so grateful for any donations. The email we received:

"My name is Rima Caton and I work at your local high school, Burlington Central, as a teacher and football coach. We work hard to make sure we provide amazing learning opportunities and engaging events to bring our school’s community together. Central is Halton's first high school and we are celebrating our 100th anniversary.

This year, we are trying to further develop our football program. We restarted our program last year with minimal resources and the turnout of players and their dedication to the season was inspiring.

However, due to our school’s budgetary constraints, we do not have the funds necessary to build the football program for the upcoming academic year. While we strive to offer our students the best experience possible, we need the resources and supplies to keep our program running.

We would like to ask that you help us continue our football program through a donation or sponsorship. Without community support, we will have to close the program and that would leave us as the only high school in Burlington without a football team. If you choose to contribute to our school, you will be allowing these students to experience the benefits of being part of a sports team that is backed by their community."
