Central Park To Pikes Peak
Donation protected
And now for something completely different..
Instead of a Isle of Man TT campaign, this year I am competing in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado Springs on June 30th.
I decided to spice it up a bit and I am planning to ride the Obsession Engineering LTD - BMW S1000r from New York to Colorado Springs, visiting some 13 states & covering around 2,000 miles along the way before arriving at and competing in the 97th running of the world famous Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
This adventure is self-funded but I was looking to raise some sponsorship funds along the way on behalf of two great causes:
Injured Riders Welfare Fund
Set up in 2003 by Yvonne, Jan & Shelia, with the aim of providing financial assistance to all riders involved in incidents whilst competing in Northern & Southern Ireland. This is done through sponsored events, such as this and through the selling of racing memorabilia which is donated to the cause.
Fondation Fabrice Miguet – LE MIG
Fabrice, himself competed at Pikes Peak in 2015, this foundation was set up last year by his family & friends to honour both him & his racing achievements, initially through the production of a statue to be sited in his childhood village Chambois in Normandy.
A total of £14,110 or just £1 each from 14,110 people would match the height of Pikes Peak summit.
But we'll start with a more down to earth target of £2,000.
Thank you all for your support..
