MSCI Central States Scholarship Program
Donation protected
With the cancellation of MSCI's 2020 Central States Scholarship Golf Tournament, the main fundraiser for the Central States Scholarship Program, we are asking for donations in order to continue awarding scholarships to the children of your employees and colleagues of the Metals Industry.
In 2019, we awarded over $60,000 in scholarships to 31 children of your employees. Since 2005, the Central States Chapter has awarded over $550,000 in scholarships.
At the present time, we have 29 students which we are supporting until graduation. Unfortunately, without additional revenues generated from our Scholarship Golf Outing and other events, new scholarships for 2020 and possibly existing scholarships are in jeopardy.
If each company committed to a scholarship donation, in lieu of playing in the golf tournament, the drawings, 50/50 board, silent auction and other on-course games, we could reach our anticipated goal. A typical golf registration fee per person was $275.
Please help us turn this negative situation into a positive for the children of our member companies. Let us come together as a metals community and show our unity for these young men and women. Your contributions would be greatly appreciated and most welcomed. (Please email [email redacted] for instructions on personal tax deductible donations.)
Best regards,
The MSCI Central States Board of Directors
