The Central Valley Ghostriderz want YOU! Whether as a player, volunteer, or contributor, all are welcome to help support this growing community of families and friends in the pursuit of fun and competition! Together we operate as the only Power soccer team in the Central Valley, going on 10 years strong!

You might be wondering what Power Soccer is? Power soccer is an international competitive sport developed by and for those in power wheelchairs. A guard (typically plastic or metal) is attached to the front of the chair and a 13" ball is used, the same basic rules of grass soccer apply! 

Most people are not aware that there are many underprivileged children and adults with disabilities who are seeking emotional and physical outlets to express themselves! This is especially difficult with many of the diseases and ailments that afflict our players, however there is no lack of effort! During the regular season (pre-Covid) our team practices most Sundays or Saturdays of the month, and plays up to four tournaments in a year. Some of these tournaments we have hosted ourselves, and some we travel to attend!

Due to the nature of many of our players illnesses, there are always challenges that both the players and volunteers have to regularly face in order to accomplish our goals. Financial support always helps in some way, and any contribution you make will go a long way in helping our organization. Every cent goes to the players and the team, all of our coaches and staff volunteer their time.  You can make a difference in our team, in our community, for these kids and their families, just by giving whatever you can. Post-Covid, we hope to resume our regular activities and are always in need of kind volunteers just to be an extra helping hand in practice and occasionally for more exciting opportunities like tournaments and events!!
