Central Washington University Club Golf Team

Hello all, I am Jacob Gesell the president of Central Washington University's Club Golf Team. We are looking for help in the form of donations. Recently the club received news that our school would be cutting our already straining funding budget by 30%. What this means for us is that our ability to pay tournament fees, travel fees and lodging fees became greatly limited. With golf being a relatively expensive sport, we are very limited in how much we can compete. Since covid in 2020 the golf sport club has been in a state of rebuild. So far between the previous leadership team and current we have been able to grow immensely. This includes things such as our roster size going from barely being able to make a team of 6 to almost a team of 16. This also includes the goal of competing in one more tournament each school year then we did the previous year. With this improvement we have seen more and more interest in the club and hope to grow even more as the years pass but we cannot do that without your help. The Goal of the sport club is to give an opportunity to students to play golf semi competitively in order to provide an escape from the day to day life of school and to also build relationships, friendships and create experiences with others as well as have a positive impact on those around them. We are asking you today to help us reach our goal of raising $5000 in order to for us to compete in the spring as well as provide a solid base for the club to start the fall of next school year.
