Help With Emergency Eye Surgery
Donation protected
Hi,
I am writing this on behalf of my brother Daniel, who is in need of eye surgery on his right eye. He began experiencing watery eyes and unusual symptoms of cloudiness in his vision. He went to receive an eye dilation, however was told that there was nothing of concern.
A few months have gone by, with on and off struggles and persistence in his symptoms. One day, his eye completely changed, and he began seeing a "curtain" in his eye. Then, a bubble began to appear in the bottom left corner of his eye. In a hurry, he called the eye doctor to do an examination.
They found that there were two tears/rips at his 12 o clock, and 3 o clock, in the back of the eye. In other words, retinal detachment. If this was not caught sooner, he would have went blind in that eye. This is an extremely rare situation as 1 in 10,000 people go through retinal detachment. His surgery is on Wednesday, the 29th. My brother needs help funding this operation as the expenses can be at least $6,000-$10,000, depending on the type of operation needed. He does not have medical insurance, and his vision insurance does not cover this expense. I am only asking for $5,000, in hopes that the rest will be covered over time. I thank you for your time in reading this and helping my brother out. I only have one brother and this would mean the world to me. It is very appreciated. God bless you.
UPDATE: He has to go for yet another surgery on Wednesday, the 7th of February. My brother is at risk of going blind in his right eye. Please send prayers and anything you can to help.
2nd Update: My dear brother now has to have a third operation. They will implant a silicon implant which will hopefully solve the issue. The gas leaked and the second surgery was unsuccessful. I am asking for another $4,000 to cover the cost of the 3rd operation which he will be having on Wednesday, the 28th of February, 2024.
