Cereus Bright's Fire Fund
Donation protected
Last Friday, after playing a show in CT, we received a phone call from the Knoxville Fire department that the Cereus Bright rehearsal space had been broken into, burglarized and set on fire. We got home yesterday to a soot-filled building, missing dozens of instruments and thousands of dollars in equipment. Luke and Evan, who live at the space, have burned-out beds, clothes, and missing valuables. What isn't missing is, for the most part, irreparably damaged from the heat and soot. We lost over $10k worth of items in the fire between CB and Luke and Evan's personal belongings.
UPDATE: We don't know how to convey how thankful we are without sounding over-the-top. We weren't expecting anything like this, and you all have turned a terrible situation into one of the most heart-warming and inspiring days in our lives.
We've hit our goal for what we needed to get back on our feet. If you still want to give, there's still a lot of costs associated we have to cover, and we could also help Luke and Evan replace some of their personal belongings. Again, we can't say enough how much your support means to us. Thank you, with all we have.

Where does the money go?
We’re not trying to replace everything that we’ve lost, just what we need to keep working on and recording our music. So we need to replace some instruments we lost, some audio equipment, and some inventory (CDs, T-shirts, etc.), that was ruined in the fire. We also need to help Evan and Luke get back on their feet, they lost their beds, valuables, and above all their house. We’re going to make do with what we can!
What if I don’t have money to give?
No one’s life is simple/easy, and we don’t expect anyone to dig into their livelihoods to help us out. If you’ve got anything extra lying around the house–everything from rugs to sofas–shoot us an email at [email redacted] . Just giving this post a share or two or shooting us some kind words can honestly really help us out as well!
What about insurance?
We just moved from a very isolated cabin to this new rehearsal space a few months ago, and were waiting on a quote from an insurance agent last week. We were collecting all the info we needed right when this happened. In hindsight, we’d be insured years ago, but the expense and time delayed us.
What do I get for donating?
We are currently trying to work out some special music we can release to say thank you to anyone who supports. It’s still in the works, and we honestly need to replace some things in order to get it done, but we don’t take this sort of thing lightly. We want to give back above and beyond.
If you don't know who we are, Cereus Bright is band from Knoxville, TN. This campaign's creator is Tyler Anthony, a member. All funds will go to the band's account and be used to first, help Evan and Luke replace their personal items and then we will begin to replace Cereus Bright's equipment.
