Help Ceri Dawson and his new family
Donation protected
Ceri Dawson is 28 years old and is married to Catrin Dawson. Yesterday they celebrated their four year wedding anniversary. They are also expecting their first child next week (8th October).
Four weeks ago Ceri was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer called Pleomorphic Soft Tissue Sarcoma. Up until a couple of days ago we were under the impression that the cancer was responding well to the chemo and were hoping that the tumour could be removed by surgery. However, MRI scans have discovered that the roots of the cancer have invaded too many complex structures and migrated to his neck, chest wall, shoulder and back. Because of this the doctors can not operate.
I am Ashley, Ceri's younger brother, and together with our good friend Liam I will be walking the length of Wales over 10 days. This journey is approximately 180 miles. We will be walking from Chepstow in South Wales to Prestatyn in North Wales. We will be undertaking this challenge on the 28th October and will be arriving in Prestatyn on the 7th November.
We are aiming to raise £5,000. The funds raised will be split with some going to The Christie Hospital in Manchester where Ceri is currently undergoing treatment. The majority (75%) of the funds will be given to Ceri and Cat to help relieve them of financial stress during this very difficult time.
Any donation will be gratefully recieved and if you could share this page we would really appreciate it.
Thank you for your kindness.
