Hello, my name is Laurie Moalin and I’m fundraising for niece Scarlett and her family. Scarlett has been in the hospital since June 4th and has recently been transferred to Seattle Children’s. Her team is anticipating her to stay at Seattle Children’s for 2 more weeks. Luis has been home with Karla and Georgia and Kc has been by Scarlett’s side since the beginning. Scarlett has been so strong going through multiple MRIs and other testings and has been diagnosed with Dermatomyositis-which is a very rare connective tissue disease. Once discharged from the hospital Scarlett will need medications and therapies for many years. I would like to take the financial pressure off of them so they can focus on Scarlett’s healing and this new way of life.
