Chavez Charter School Students Need your Help

Want to join me in supporting a good cause? I'm raising money for Cesar Chavez Public Charter Schools for Public Policy. This is a middle school and high school with approximately 400 students in Northeast DC. The coronavirus has hit our students very hard. Here are some real world situations affecting our students..

Despite being a small community, students have faced their fair share of heartaches.  Students have lost their parents and have been tasked with being the primary caregiver for younger siblings.  Some students are living in households where parents have lost their jobs and resources are scarce.

We also have 30 homeless students who are in need of food and hygiene products. Several students pick up food from school weekly but there are limitations on their ability to commute throughout the city. Grocery cards would be ideal.

These are just a few examples. These funds would go to support students like the ones described above and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. Our principal and chief operating officer will make decisions on how these funds are disbursed with established guidelines.
