Playground Walking Path 2020

This year the PTO Fundraising is going to look a LOT different than our previous years.  While I know we all love the Non-A-Thon, this year we are going in a different direction.  We understand that everyone in our community has felt the effects of COVID in one way or another.  We want to keep that in mind while trying to accomplish our goal.  This year, there will not be a huge monetary goal that gets dispersed among various different entities.  This year we have one specific goal our funds will be going towards.  


 Mrs. Rooks would like to have a walking path installed around the playground for the students to enjoy.  Think what a blessing it will be for everyone at Cottonwood to have this extra space outside!  (ESPECIALLY this year!)  This will allow for a more functional space for our students to socially distance, while chatting with friends and getting exercise in the process!  It will also allow for students in wheelchairs to have more access around the playground!  How amazing will this be!?  I have attached an architectural rendering so you can see  the project!  


Last year, the PTO started setting aside funds to help assist with this project.  Our plan was for a portion of the Non-A-Thon proceeds raised this year would cover the rest of the cost.   Well, instead of trying to hit a $20,000.00 Non-A-Thon goal, we are simply wanting to try and finish raising the funds to cover the cost of the walking path! 


 We only need to raise $6,500.00  to make this project a reality!   


SO HERE IS WHERE YOU COME IN!!!   We NEED your help to spread the word to all your family and friends.  Every dollar raised is a dollar towards our kids having more fun on the playground!  We have a Go Fund Me account set up to make donations even easier!  OF COURSE we will still take cash or checks too!  There will be no extra incentives for students this year as social distancing makes it difficult to do so.  We are just simply asking those who are in a position to donate even $5.00 to do so!  Every penny adds up and makes a difference!
