Emergency Medical Situation

Unexpected Near Fatal Medical Emergency is what happened to my husband, Andrew, in early March of this year as a result of a perforated bowel. This resulted in necessary recovery time plus now preparation for his second "corrective" colostomy surgery in just a few weeks.
The Back Story is that we attempted to relocate to another state but returned to California when things didn't turn out as well as we thought. Fortunately, Andrew was able to obtain employment at a major hotel chain as a Maintenance Engineer. He genuinely enjoys helping others and being the caretaker of a facility is a perfect fit for him.
Everything was moving forward and I was beginning to seek employment. We were looking forward to finding a new home to live in when he was struck with a perforated bowel resulting in the Emergency Surgery.
We need the funding as soon as possible due to the fact that he has not been employed in this position long enough to qualify for any benefits: SDI and the personal insurance which he obtained through his new job. In addition, we didn't qualify for any other resources we inquired about.
All of our cash resources have been used up and he is to be off of work at least until June of this year or possibly longer because of the second surgery that he is to undergo.
These funds will help us to find a safe, clean place to live while Andrew recovers from the first surgery and will help him prepare for his second surgery and it's recovery time. We also have our other bills to pay such as vehicle insurance and other vehicle maintenance needs, our storage unit plus the phone bills and, most importantly, food.
Other ways we need help with understanding health insurance policies and their benefits as well as personal insurance we have through Andrew's current job.
Our situation is urgent. We have exactly $27.00 left in our bank account with no foreseeable income in the near future due to not qualifying for SDI. There are approximately two more days left in the motel that we have already paid for.
This is affecting Andrew's recovery due to the stress level of our situation. We are not sure where we will be able to stay, where we could possibly have a roof over our head.
We are not looking for a million dollars but enough money to be able to afford a clean, safe place to stay whether it be a motel room or being able to rent a room from somebody while Andrew recovers along with some of our basic bills.
Andrew and I sincerely thank you in advance for any assistance you may be able to provide.
God Bless you all.
