GLASGOW BASKET BRIGADE 2019
“One small act of generosity on the part of one caring person can transform the lives of hundreds. It takes only one light to dispel the darkness, and even just one basket can bring hope to a family.”
Anthony Robbins
On the 21st of December, 400 volunteers will get together to deliver 500 Christmas food hampers to Glasgow families in need.
ABOUT US:
Glasgow’s first Basket Brigade came to life in October 2019, Inspired by the Yes Group, "London Basket Brigade". This Glasgow female-led initiative is fully committed to bringing the magic of Christmas alive through connection, contribution and giving back in our community.
The London and Glasgow groups are both part of the Tony Robbins Foundation initiative which has chapters world-wide.
The idea of the Basket Brigade originally began in the US nearly 40 years ago when Tony Robbins, aged just 17, fed two families on Thanksgiving Day.
The Basket Brigade is now a 100% volunteer run international program dedicated to feeding those in need and built on a simple notion: “one small act of generosity on the part of one caring person can transform the lives of hundreds”.
Each year thousands of volunteers come together around the world and provide baskets of food and household items for an estimated 4 million people annually.
We are excited and ready to become part of this important world-wide movement and to launch our Basket Brigade chapter in our beautiful city of Glasgow!
Join us on the 21st of December on a day to remember to help us deliver Christmas magic and love to families in need.
To bring the Glasgow Basket Brigade to life we rely 100% on donations and the kindness of others. We welcome all support.
