CFDA Student Dance Recital 2023

Hi! My name is Jessica and I am a dancer from the Chinese Folk Dance Association. I’ve created this campaign on behalf of CFDA to help raise funds for the upcoming performance on August 5th, 2023. I have been dancing at CFDA for many years and have enjoyed learning a wide variety of Chinese ethnic dances. The weekly practices I share with many other CFDA dancers have instilled in me a sense of pride, self-confidence, and teamwork. Performing these dances on-stage such as the upcoming show is a transformative experience for us and an opportunity for us to showcase what we have worked so hard on.

Support of this show also allows for the CFDA, a 64-year-old non-profit community organization to continue its education of Chinese culture through dance. It’s not just the technical skills that we gain from our weekly practices, but we also get to dive deep into the richness and beauty of Chinese traditions. Every week we come to practice, we learn something new and continue to build and strengthen our friendships. We have become like a family, always supporting and cheering each other both inside and outside of dance. As dancers of CFDA, we’ve come to understand the importance of giving back to our community by participating in various volunteer events.

All CFDA activities are supported by the generous contributions of our volunteers and donations from sponsors and supporters. Donations of any amount are welcome and appreciated!

Auditorium rental expenses $3000

Purchase dance costumes & props $1000

Audio & visual equipment rental $150
