Reliable Car so I can reach animals

All of the beloved animals I care for as a pet sitter count on me to have safe and reliable transportation. My former car, a 21 year old car Volvo, just expired, thankfully in town. but I travel all over Albemarle County and beyond to take care of precious animals. I need to be able to reach them safely in all kinds of weather. Reliable transportation is vital to keep my livelihood of the last 10 years. I do not need a brand new car, but I do need something that will last awhile, I'm hoping at least 5 years. I'm looking for a 2004-5 Honda Element  (easy to clean when transporting pups, and good reviews) or a 2006 Scion xB (also good for transporting pups, and, well, great sounding name, and excellent MPG!) or a 2009 Nissan Cube (also good for transporting !) The MOST important thing is to be able to safely take care of the precious creatures who count on me every day!! Please help if you can, every little bit will help. Not only will you help me keep doing work that is dear to my heart, you'll help the many animals I love (and many of you love) be loved and cared for for years to come! Many Thanks!!
