Donations for Devin

Hello everyone,  I am starting this champaign for my nephew Devin, and his mother (my sister) Sheri.  I'll start from the beginning. All of our lives changed drastically on Tuesday, October 27th. Devin's heart was failing.  He was rushed to Boston Children's Hospital. Devin needs a heart transplant. He is only 13 years old. He went through  major surgery, he has a device called an ecmo that was put in to help support his heart more. He has another device that was put in, called a LVAD this is going to be doing all the work for his heart. They are very certain is heart is not going to recover from this. They found that this is something he was born with and just was never a problem until now.  With all these procedures there are major risks. He is currently stable and still in a coma. He had a good weekend, moving slowly in the right direction. The plan is for more rest, then  they are slowing going to try down the pump on the right side and see how it does.  I will keep everyone updated on his progress. It is all up to him and when his body is ready. Devin has a long journey ahead of him but he is so strong and he will fight through this!  I also would like to say if anyone would like to donate to Devin and my sister, it would help out so much. This happend out of no where. Devin has always been a healthy boy. He loves sports! He loves to play and watch them. His favorite sports are hockey, basketball and football. His number one team is the Boston Bruins! He loves to play video games as well. Devin is smart and does great in school, very popular! He is honestly the sweetest and most caring/loveable kid. He has the best personality. Anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting him,  knows how amazing he is.. Devin is a son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin, friend,  & so much more.. He is extremely loved. I hate that he has to go through this. We are all shocked..but this is happening and we are trying the best we can each day to be as strong as we can for him. Anything you can spare will help. Sheri can't work right now. She is a mother of  three, my beautiful niece and nephews. She has to be in Boston with Devin. Hotel expenses, food expenses, among other expenses. We were not prepared for this..and we are unsure how long he will need to be in the hospital for, as long as he needs.  I want to say thank you in advance and I also want to say thank everyone who has reached out to us all, thank you for your prayers, positive vibes, love and all the support. We are truly blessed to have such amazing people that are so kind and caring.  We are blessed to have amazing family and friends to help us all get through this..
