Chad Perschon Medical Expenses

Hi there, my name is Jocelyn and I am Chad’s daughter. On the night of March 30, my little brother found my dad on the ground at home unable to move or speak. The ambulance took him to the closest hospital but when he arrived they said he had a stroke and a blood clot too large to do anything at that facility. He was then life flighted to the U of U and immediately taken in for scans. They found he had a tear in his carotid artery which caused a massive blood clot and wanted to take him in for an emergency procedure. They placed a stent on the artery and removed as much of the clot as they could. The clot was on the left side of his brain, so his right side of his body is extremely weak and he can hardly move his arm and hand. He spent the last week and a half in the ICU and was just moved to a rehabilitation hospital for occupational and speech therapy. Medical expenses are piling up and my two brothers who live with my dad (Ethan 22 and Jordan 17) are doing the best they can. Ethan is working 60+ hours a week and Jordan is working two jobs while also going to high school.

If you know my dad, you know he loves big, is a hype man for everyone around him, and he’s going to fight like hell to make it through this. He has a long road ahead for his recovery.
