Laying My Husband to Rest - #CodeRedForever
Donation protected
Losing anyone is difficult. At 44 years of age, we never planned on losing my husband, Chad. As his family, we are left with the unknown and many unanswered questions, with a vital one being - how do we move on as a family without him?
Chad was a beloved teacher and coach in Pennsauken since 1999. His passion to teach the youth our nation’s history paired with his love for sports made him the influential individual that he was known as.
My mother in law, his mother, Karen has been a rock through both his life and our children’s lives. Losing ones only child - that’s a mother’s worse fear. No mother should have to bury their child and this strong woman has to do the unspeakable.
We have lived in our home with our two children, Hannah and Keisha. Chad’s natural ability to be a parent was pivotal in the girls growing up. He shared his love of sports with them, attending every game they had in support. He could always be heard from the crowd - ‘That’s my kid!’
Nearing the end of his life, Chad began to battle with health issues. Doctor after doctor, surgery after surgery - it can be taxing on the soul but he always came back stronger than before. Never once did he let that get the best of him - we loved that so much about him.
During this difficult time, we ask for the community - friends, family and strangers to come together with us and help lay him to rest. We want to remember him as who he was - a pillar in everything he set his heart to.
*Please consider donating to help with funeral cost. If you can not or even if you can, we ask that you share this if possible.*
In your name Chad, it will always be #CodeRedForever.
