Chad Sanford AKA " NORI " Emergency Fund!

Chad and her grandmother live in Broward County. As many of you have seen in the news,

Chad has twice been the victim of brutal beatings at school- two beatings, two years apart, by

the same abusers. We are kindly asking our community to help Chad and her family. The community, including

law enforcement and the school district, has not supported this family and ensured their safety.

Without the right support and a safe community to live in, Chad can’t move to the next stage of

survival of living in her truth and not having to live in fear. Chad’s grandma, who is Chad’s primary

parent, is considering moving away from the neighborhood but is taking it one step at a time to

give Chad time to recover and decide what is best in terms of living her truth without having to

live in fear. We are asking our community to help raise $60,000, which should cover moving

expenses and a full year of rent for a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom house, and a car for the family

(including Chad’s younger brother) to be able to get around safely. There is a lot of work that

needs to be done, and we are hoping the community can help us boost the mental well-being of

Chad and her grandma to someday soon have joy and liberation. This fundraiser is being organized at the request of Chad and her grandma. The family asked The McKenzie Project, Inc, a trans-led organization that is fiscally sponsored by TransSocial, to organize the funds, 100% of which will go directly to the family and not to either of these organizations. We are trying to secure the best possible outcomes of safety, love, support and protection for Chad and her family.

NOTE: This is the only official fundraiser through GoFundMe that has been authorized by Chad

and her family. The family has requested that funds not be sent to other GoFundMe projects, as

they may be a scam.
