Chagossian family has lost everything in a fire

AN EMERGENCY APPEAL TO ALL SUPPORTERS OF THE CHAGOSSIAN CAUSE

Two nights ago Marie Sissace and her family, a Chagossian family of four living in Crawley lost their home in a terrible fire. No-one was hurt but the family has lost everything and they are staying in a nearby hotel.

The family were living in rented accomodation and they need our support to pay for the hotel until they can find somewhere new to live and get things back together. They had no insurance.

The Chagossian community has experienced so much tragedy and heartbreak since they were taken from their homeland. Marie is a native Chagossian, she was born on Peros Banhos and forced to leave her home by the British government. Please give what you can to support the Sissace family now - they have lost everything.
