Challahs Against Hunger
Tax deductible
Hi! My name is Talia Egnal, and I'm selling challahs this Rosh Hashanah to raise money to help the Capital Area Food Bank. I'm in twelfth grade and I live in the neighborhood. I've always loved baking, and over quarantine, I began making challahs every Shabbat. At some point, my siblings and I had the idea to sell challahs to raise money in this time of mass food insecurity.
We are charging $15 for each challah. All the money I get will go directly to the Capital Area Food Bank (i.e. none of your money pays for flour, eggs, electricity, and delivery costs). Each challah should provide around 30 meals for families in need. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdfRso1nO9tFPKmt2lvfZxofwcR0P-JEIRlWpkwOFMu5qQ92A/viewform?usp=sf_link
We’ll deliver the challahs to you on Erev Rosh Hashanna, September 15. After you've paid for your challah, please use the google form above to let us know your delivery method and your preferred type of challah (regular, with raisins, or vegan). Please write in if you would like to pick up outside Little Falls from 4:00pm-6:00pm.
