Challenge South Africa, Vinnie's Fundraiser

Hi, my name is Vinnie and I will be taking part in Challenge South Africa in February 2025. The programme centres around equality and diversity, teaching us as students about the rich culture, lives and history of South Africa.

For 9 months we take part in a wide range of social and personal development activities and community-based, fundraising events before setting off on a 10-day trip to Cape Town, South Africa.

During the 10-day trip we visit local townships and work with communities in and around Cape Town in order to gain a real perspective on life in South Africa following the fall of Apartheid. We will deliver sports coaching in schools, visit an AIDS orphanage and explore Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned before heading off on Safari.
