"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others".
Hello!
My name is Chandler Dangerfield and I am third year student at West Chester University of Pennsylvania studying Psychology. I was selected this year to be a trip leader and travel to Kenya with 7 other students from West Chester University. I will be spending two weeks in Alendu, Kenya working with the Rafiki Organization in which I will work with young children in the Lighthouse Academy. I will be focussing on education, food security, womens social and economic development, health and help supply clean water to the people of Alendu.
Not only will I be able to make a difference in Alendu's community with the help of my team but I want to leave a lasting impression in the lives of the children. I believe my dedication, passion, and positivity will really fuel my dreams in relation to this trip. With my participation in this experience I hope to take what I learned during my time spent in Alendu, and share my experiences with others. The experiences this trip will give me will also assist and inspire me in my future career goals in which I plan on attending graduate school with a concentration on Higher Education.
This is a once in a life time experience and I would very much appreciate any monetary donations. I promise any donation will help offest the costs for the trip, and any money beyond the 2,000 goal will go towards the Rafiki foundation and community I will be working with.
Thank you for taking the time out to read about my journey. Thank you for your support.
