Chandy Duffy's Celebration of Life

Our cherished Chandy passed away on Friday, March 31st 2023 after a 6 year battle with colon cancer. Chandy was the best wife, mother, sister, daughter, granddaughter, aunt, niece and friend. To know her was to love her. She was so positive every single day, seeing her smile would make you smile even on your worst days. She always knew the right thing to say. She was love, support, strength, persistence and generosity. Her husband Stephen, along with her kids Brittany, Elijah, Isabella, Grace (baby Grace was born an Angel), Stella, Delaney and her beloved Tucker were her life. They often went on vacations to the beach, which was her favorite place to be. She would sit with her toes in the sand, in a beach chair looking at the ocean with her family playing for hours, sometimes all day. It was her happy place.

Six years ago she was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. She went through many different chemotherapy treatments over the years, and even radiation. Through all of this, she remained so positive, strong, and full of love. She never wavered in her hope and determination. She took her last breath while surrounded by her loved ones, peacefully in her own home.

We would like to host a celebration of life for everyone who knew and loved Chandy. A place for everyone to come together and celebrate the love we all had for her as she had for so many of us. To do this we are asking for donations towards the celebration, to honor, memorialize and spread the love that she put into all of us. We are planning to have it just days after what would be her 51st birthday on Saturday, May 6th 2023. We will be reserving a large outdoor space as she treasured all things having to do with nature. She also loved music, so we want to bring in a band so we can dance, laugh and smile because that is exactly what she would've wanted. There will also be food as Chandy was the best hostess and loved when people had their bellies full. This will be a space for sharing memories, while we laugh and cry as we share the happiness she brought into all of our lives.
