Change for Ramula

Hello, I am Adrian Grew and I am a Brock University Con-Ed. student.  I am raising money to buy equipment for a physical education program that I plan to start at a remote  high school in Kenya.  I will be visiting Ramula Secondary School in the spring of 2018 for three weeks.  Students at this school do not have a physical education program and very little equipment.  As a result they have few, if any, opportunities to play organized sports or activities.  The few opportunities which do exist are typically only for boys.  I plan to offer physical activity and sport to both boys and girls in an effort to promote a healthy physical lifestyle and a love of sport.

I have been planning to volunteer my time in this way for some time now .  My mom, a social activist, and I, hope to bring change and opportunity to deserving students in Kenya.  We have both traveled to Kenya in the past and have seen how fortunate our lives are in comparison to the lives of everyday Africans.  Simply put, they do not have the same opportunities that we often take for granted.  My Mom is a teacher and I will be a future educator.  We share this understanding of the importance of education and of the opportunities and lessons learned through sport.  We hope to create a positive experience and change for the students at Ramula Secondary school.

With the funding that we recieve we will purchase physical education equipment in Kenya.  Therefore, your proceeds will support the local economy while outfitting the school.  We are very appreciative of any funding you can provide us.
