Changing Public School in CA
Tax deductible
Public Education in California is failing. The curriculum focuses more on creating social justice warriors than teaching children to read and write. No wonder our test scores are among the lowest in the nation. Orange County Classical Academy was born to fight current culture, teach children to love reading, and understand joy comes from within, and when we do good, we feel good. OCCA is the ONLY Hillsdale BCSI curriculum approved school in all of California. Many people thought a school like this wouldn’t succeed in this state. But we are at capacity and have a waitlist of over 2000.
Students are taught cursive. They must learn this lost art to make sure they can read our founding documents for themselves. They are taught how to think, not what to think. We believe in teaching an accurate account of history and discuss how we can learn and move forward in saving our great country.
Orange County Classical Academy develops exceptional citizens who are keepers and defenders of the principles of our freedom, while also instilling intellectual and personal habits and skills upon which responsible, independent and productive lives are built.
The Mission of the Orange County Classical Academy is to develop students in mind and character through a classical, content-rich liberal arts and sciences curriculum that emphasizes the principles of scholarship, moral character, and civic virtue.
We were recently hit with a 2.4 million construction cost. We did not anticipate this large of debt. We are reaching out to supporters of our mission to donate and help cover these costs.
EDUCATING THE WHOLE PERSON
Education is about more than simply preparing students for college and career. At OCCA we practice the art of teaching and strive to develop within our students the habits and skills upon which happy, responsible, productive, courageous lives are built.
Orange County Classical Academy serves over 560 students in grades TK-8 from a single, convenient campus in Orange, CA. The mission of OCCA is to train the minds and improve the hearts of young people through a content-rich classical education in the liberal arts and sciences with instruction in the principles of moral character and civic virtue. OCCA is a Hillsdale College Member School.
We ask that you donate what you can to help our school survive. They are many people who would like to see our school fail. Charter schools do not get the same funding as union-run public schools. We rely on generous donors who believe in our mission. Would you support OCCA?
