Channel Islands Harbor July 4th Fireworks

On March 19, the County Harbor Department announced the cancellation of the 2020 Fourth of July fireworks show, due to a combination of slow fund-raising and massive uncertainty about the feasibility of mounting the show even if enough funds were raised.  All of you who participated in the effort through this GoFundMe account delivered nearly $5,000 to the cause, so thank you for that level of effort and demonstrated caring about the community spirit at the harbor.

If you are so inclined, you may send your request for a refund to:  Harbor Lessees Assn., Attn:  Steve Kinney, 3600 S. Harbor Blvd.  #119, Oxnard, CA. 93035.  Please do so by April 30.  After that, any funds left at the end of this effort will be given to the Ventura County Community Foundation for the purchase of needed supplies for health-care workers and first responders in the County as they battle the effects of the COVID-19 virus on behalf of all of us.
