Channing Leigh-Ann O’Halloran

On the night of March 20, 2023 Lanna and James received the call every parent fears. Channing had been involved in a car accident and had been taken to UF Health where she underwent emergency surgery for multiple injuries including internal bleeding. She had been ejected from the vehicle she was riding in and sustained severe head trauma. After extensive testing the family was informed there was no meaningful brain activity. Channing, being the recipient of a kidney transplant herself, had chosen to donate her organs in the event this day should come.

As the transplant team is coordinating the recipients, Channing remains on life sustaining measures.

So many of you have reached out asking how you can help emotionally and financially. While there is really nothing that can be done to ease their pain at this time, we can take some of the financial burden off of the the family. Any amount you are able to contribute would be greatly appreciated. This money will go towards Channing’s medical and funeral expenses, and Celebration of Life service.

Lanna and James are beyond touched by the outpouring of love and the tributes that have been posted about Channing. They appreciate your prayers and ask that they continue as the family navigates this unimaginable tragedy.
