Chanté Perryman's Midwifery School Fund

Super excited to begin this next part of my Birth Professional journey!
Hi! I am Chanté Perryman, a Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula, Certified Childbirth Educator, Evidence Based Birth® Instructor, Spinning Babies® Certified Parent Educator, Community Birth Organizer and Advocate. I have been involved in birth work since 2013 with supporting, educating and helping families to advocate for their births. I believe in birth choices along with respectful care for all birthing families.
And now I am officially a Student Midwife!
I am attending Mercy In Action College of Midwifery to become a Certified Professional Midwife. My goal is to ultimately have a free standing Birth Center in Kentucky - because there are currently none in the state (another story for another day) and there are no Black CPM's who currently serve families in my local community.
I am raising $30,000 to cover the cost of tuition, books, exams and potentially any travels I will have to make to complete this degree over the next few years. I am super passionate about becoming a midwife because I know there is a need in my community. Being able to complete this program without having to worry about the finances of paying for it will be a weight lifted off of my shoulders.
I will be sharing about my school journey on my social media pages on Facebook and Instagram @babydreamsmc
I am extremely appreciative for any amount raised towards my midwifery school fund and thankful for the generous donors who are supporting me in this work. I encourage you to continue to amplify the voices and work of Black, Brown and Indigenous Birth Professionals because we are here trying to be a solution to our country's maternal and infant mortality crisis.
