Chaplin Tyler Hearing Aids

Hi everyone! I am fundraising to get myself hearing aids. This is something that’s been long overdue as I have been failing hearing tests since the age of 15. As I’ve gotten older it’s gotten progressively worse and I am now being told that the car accident I was in recently may be exasperating it. It is true that in this amazing country we live in with equal opportunity.... and a fabulous health care system......that no health insurance will cover even a portion of a hearing aid which is insane! Hearings aids can cost anywhere from $1500-$5000 per hearing aid and most people who need one will surely need both. It sucks because there are so many things I need for my transition right now which I would love to be fundraising for instead, but my hearing is vital and the loss of it has been affecting my work, and my relationships with people in general.
