Chapman 8th Grade Class Yellowstone Trip
Donation protected
The Chapman 8th graders, located in Anchor Point Alaska, have been selected to attend a once in a lifetime experience at Yellowstone National Park. They have been selected to attend Expedition Yellowstone! Expedition Yellowstone is a 4–5-day curriculum-based residential program for teachers and their 4-8th grade classes.
Expedition Yellowstone teaches students about the natural and cultural history of Yellowstone National Park, investigates current issues affecting the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, and promotes stewardship and preservation in the park and in home communities. Emphasis is on learning through direct experience in the outdoors. Students participate with teachers and parent chaperones in hikes, field investigations, discussions, creative dramatics, and journal writing. The program coordinator works with teachers to tailor an itinerary for the group that best meets their educational needs.
The 8th graders, through hard work have raised almost $10,000 to make this once in a lifetime trip happen. They are halfway there, but they need just a little more help. We are asking you to please donate anything you can to help them take advantage of this amazing opportunity. 100% of all funds raised will be used to help the kids pay for this trip. Including Travel, food, and lodging.
Thank you for any help that you can give.
