Launch a veteran bookstore and community space.

The Chapter House is a veteran-led independent bookstore that will cultivate thoughtful conversation and meaningful community around religion & politics. It will be more than just a place to buy books; it will be a community hub for military families, where soldiers and veterans will be empowered to grow in spiritual maturity and civic engagement.

Much of what I need to get started has already been secured, like my existing inventory of 4,000 used books just waiting to be bought. I've also been approved for a modest Small Business Administration loan that I will use for construction costs in the coming weeks. I have SCORE mentors adding value to the entrepreneurship training I received from Georgetown University through Dog Tag Bakery. On top of that, I have been a member of the American Booksellers Association (ABA) for over a year and recently completed courses from their Bookstore Training Group.
