Charisse (Aminah) Matthews Burial and Trust Fund

It is with a shattered heart that I share the news of the tragic loss of our dear Charisse Inez Matthews (Aminah Samir); mother, daughter, sister and loyal confidant.

In the early morning hours of 5/28/2023, Charisse was struck and killed by a vehicle that fled the scene....mere steps away from her home.

Charisse leaves behind a beautiful legacy of 6 children. We subsequently learned she was two months pregnant with her 7th child.

Charisse was a PROUD mother! Her social media accounts and conversations were all saturated with her most honored memories of her children.

Those closest to my family knew of Charisse's struggle with mental health and substance issues. These unfortunately exacerbated after the death of her husband in 2015. I was honored to step in during this time and take on custody of her children so she could focus on addressing her personal struggles. She did her absolute best to do just that to the very end. She was a star employee at the Goodwill Industries of KY and was looking forward to starting a new role in construction.

Please help our family with final expenses to lay Charisse to rest according to her wishes. Any surplus amounts donated will be placed in trust fund accounts for her 6 children.
