Kody is a kind, hardworking young man who moved to Rochester last November, hoping for a fresh start. While he was aware of his rare genetic disorder, he had no idea how fragile his health truly was. Having just started a new job as a mechanic, he was uninsured and unable to access preventive medical care.
Last Saturday, Kody suffered a sudden and catastrophic cardiac arrest while playing Xbox. His loving fiancée immediately performed CPR, saving his life in a moment of sheer bravery. Now, he is in the ICU at Mayo Clinic’s St. Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by the unwavering love of his family—both here in Rochester and from New Mexico.
