Charity Bake Sale for Afghanaid
The bake sale is now closed, as we have now reached 50 cakes!
Thank you so much for your kind donations for cake so far! If you would still like to make a small donation it will be very gratefully received by the charity.
To fundraise for Afghanaid, who are doing crucial work in Afghanistan helping displaced families, I’m raising money via a bake sale, and will match every donation given.
Next week, I will be baking 50 cherry and almond cakes (pictured) from the upcoming Sweet Roasting Tin, and packing them up to post.
If you would like to receive one, or send one to a friend as a gift:
- Please donate £30 via this website, which will go straight to Afghanaid;
- Email me at rukmini@rukmini-iyer.com with your name and the address you’d like to receive your cake.
- You will receive a confirmation email from me, and a dispatch notification as soon as your cake is posted next week.
- At the end of the fundraiser, I will match the total donation raised.
Thank you in advance for your contribution.
Dietary information: the cakes are vegetarian, made with free-range eggs and contain nuts (almonds). Due to the volume of baking, I apologise I’m not able to cater for other dietary requirements in this bake sale.
More information about Afghanaid: For almost 40 years, Afghanaid has worked alongside some of the poorest and most rural communities in Afghanistan to rebuild basic services, improve agriculture and other livelihoods, strengthen the rights of women and children, and respond to natural disasters. Despite many persisting challenges, we will continue to make life better for over 1,300,000 Afghans in 2021. Our community-led approach gives ordinary Afghans a voice in their own development, and the development of their communities.
