Charity Ballroom dance competition

Hi everyone, as some of you know I am part of a wonderful dance school and every year we organise a Strictly come dancing style competition to raise money for charity. I have taken part in this event 5 times already and this will be my 6th year competing.

Each couple taking part learns the same 1 minute base routine of a ballroom dance and a Latin dance.

We then have an extra 30-40 seconds to add our own choreography so all of the routines end up looking different.

We get to choose our own music and costumes and it really makes the routines come to life

The dances for the year are the waltz and jive.

On thr night each couple performs infront of the judges and a live audience, thr judges scores are counted and for every £10 raised per couple adds an extra point to their score. I've come close to winning so many times before so I'm trying to raise even more money this year to raise money for the charity (and hopefully I can win lol)

This year's Charity is the Brain Tumor Charity which raises money to help research into cures for brain tumors, to raise awareness on signs and symptoms of brain tumors and to offer support to health care professionals. The charity aims to double the survival rate by 2030.

The charity is an important one to me, 9 years ago my grandfather passed away from a brain tumor
