Charity Boxing for Tommy & Ronald McDonald House
Hey!
I have recently signed up to take part in a charity boxing match, I have chosen to raise money for Ronald McDonald House. This charity has supported so many families including one of my close friends Beckie and her little boy Tommy.
Here is an insight into Tommy’s journey from his mum
As a mum of a new baby boy that had to be transferred to Alder Hey children’s hospital in Liverpool at 3 weeks old due to a heart condition that caused him to need care by specialist consultants and surgeons to be able to give him the life saving surgery he needed and then again at 12 weeks old to have a further open heart surgery which will also not be his last. Being away from home with nothing and no one familiar around, Mac House was like a home away from home where we could go to eat/sleep/wash/get support/some breathing space out of the hospital! Without the facilities here I have no idea where we would have been. Missing our other children at home while worrying and trying to come to terms with what was happening to our poorly baby, Mac house gave us a safe place to stay and allowed our other 2 children to come and stay with us with so much for them to do at absolutely no cost to us. Even during a pandemic they went above and beyond and all meals were provided so we didn’t have to go out to the supermarkets and potentially pick up anything just to try and keep us and our Tommy safe. We feel forever grateful that we had this network of support and want to give back what ever we can to help other parents and family’s in need just like we was and just like we will be again for all his future surgeries.
please help us raise as much money as possible for this amazing charity!
