Memorial football match for Mason’s 16th birthday

Hi, we are Mike and Katie … On the 17/11/2022 we sadly lost our nephew Mason Clarkson at just 13 years old after a short illness just before his 14th birthday which would have been on 30/11/2022.

Mason had to be taken to Leeds Hospital where there was better chances of him being able to receive the care he needed. It was uncertain how long he would be there but Eckersley House took the stress away of finding somewhere for family to stay in our time of need.

Eckersley House is run by The Sick Children’s Trust and they give the families of sick children a place to stay while their child is in hospital and allows family to be at their child’s bedside within a few minutes walk after getting some rest, it is free of charge so takes away some of the financial stress and it is ran from charity donations.

This year would have been Masons 16th birthday on 30/11/2024 and to celebrate his birthday we are doing a fundraising football match to raise money for The Sick Children’s Trust in his memory. The game will be Hull Athletic VS The Ex Tigers and will take place on 17/11/2024 at 14:00 at The Steve Prescott Sports Centre, Temple St, Hull HU5 1AD.
