Charity Footy Tournament & RAFFLE
Donation protected
Hi.
I am Don, and this is my fiance Louise. Almost 12 months ago, Louise got diagnosed with Leukemia whilst pregnant. Our son Harvey was born at 32 weeks, and Louise started chemotherapy treatment a few hours later and only spent about eight good weeks at home over the last 12 months. Having four rounds of chemo before the stem cell transplant, which was the most demanding time of her life, spending eight weeks on an isolation ward in Manchester with no visitors.
It's been an unimaginably difficult time for Louise and our family. It's even harder now after the news we have had recently.
We no longer feel able to do the family fun day but intend on the football tournament going a head, along with a raffle as there have been some generous donations of vouchers and gifts, so would be a shame to let them go to waste .

We want show our appreciation to the three charities who have helped us get this far;
Mummies Star, is a charity that helps families with cancer and young children.
Antony Nolan is the stem cell charity, the person who donated their immune system signed up with them.
And BlueSkies at Blackpool, mainly Duncan House. Which is a place on the hospital grounds, connected to the Hematology Ward. I stayed there for weeks, using it as a base to be close to Louise and the baby. All the staff on the H ward were incredible with us.
Thank you everyone for the support and your messages. We now have more than enough for the football tournament and any remaining / future donations will be split between the 3 charities.
