Small Actions + Lots of people= Big Change

We all know that success starts with the fundamentals from a childhood- like parents' nurture and a good education. Unfortunately, not everyone has the same equal opportunities to accomplish that. Many of the kids around the globe do not have opportunities for an education. But we can start a change , we can start small.

My homeland- Kyrgyzstan is a beautiful place surrounded by gorgeous nature and mountains and have kind people with rich history of nation and hospitality. 

Kyrgyzstan is a young nation with 2.1 million children making up 36.5 per cent of its population. Child poverty is a serious issue. Children living in poverty miss out on pre-school and school education and a basic healthcare. The majority of the children live in regions with unemployed adults among another 3-8 siblings (UNICEF data from 2015).

After carefully searching and selecting children in need, we found 2 bright talents-a girl from Kochkor (Salima) and a boy from Jeti-Oguz (Ali), who passed the following criteria:

1. Children who are showing exceptional school performance results. 

2. Children who are dreaming about going to Kyrgyz-Turkish High School and passed the exams. 

3. Children who do not have one or both parents.

The goal is to support them financially and mentally and give them opportunities to get the best education and support them towards the end of the high school (5 years). After careful calculation and a partnership with KTL directors, who kindly provided us a discount for tuition(-$700 for each), the number is $3,000 for each student $6,000 total:

- $2,000 for tuition,

- $1,000 yearly expenses which include: clothing, food, transportation, school supplies, books, personal care expenses. 

A small support can make a big difference. Together, may we give children the roots to grow and the wings to fly!
