Sadaqa Jariyah (Charity) for Ola Salem

Ola Salem once called the Asiyah Women's Center "a true friend" and that is what we sought to be in her life, and now -- in her death. She was a committed volunteer and passionate about alleviating the pain of domestic violence survivors. She volunteered in our center for months, often assisting with the intake process. She was a beacon of hope and positivity for many. We can still hear her infectious laughter emitting through our walls, and we are envisioning her presence with us. Simply put, she brought joy to everyone she interacted with.

We hope to repay her as a token in her honor of the authentic and incredible life that she lived, by organizing a charity campaign to raise money for domestic violence survivors in her name. Oh Allah, please make this heavy on her scale. May God forgive her for her sins. May she have a home in Paradise, infinitely better than the one she helped us create. May God enter her into the highest levels of Paradise. We will miss you, true friend. We wish to have done more for you, but insha'Allah the funds we raise will help others like you. Ameen.

All proceeds will go to providing services, food, and shelter for the women and children that live at the Asiyah Women's Center.
