Charity Walk for Amma's Humanitarian Projects
Why do it?
Since 2004, Amma has come to Ireland to give us her hug, a precious experience that has helped millions of people to find peace and serenity. It also gave us an opportunity to support Amma's mission via Embracing the World (ETW) Humanitarian Projects. Today Amma's programs in the world are suspended but the needs of those who receive help from ETW are always many.
As it is not possible for Amma to travel to Europe and for us to organize the program in Ireland instead we have this 10,000 KMs of Love from Ireland Charity Walk.
With this great rally of love we will be able to allow Amma's humanitarian projects to be supported also this year.
What we will do?
We would like the river of generosity and support to keep flowing:
Along with our brothers and sisters in Europe, we aim to walk the distance from Europe to Amritapuri. Ireland will walk side by side with Amma’s children in the UK to trek the 10,000km distance that physically separates us from Amma.
Our charity walk will take place from October 1st to November 30th - in the period when we could usually meet Amma in Europe.
Everyone can participate: you decide the route and the distance!
Walking together, we can imagine walking the path that leads us to Amma, once again joining our efforts to contribute to her mission and thus help those most in need.
Furthermore, walking makes us feel good, it lifts our spirits and our physical and mental health improves. By participating in this walk we combine physical commitment with a sense of solidarity, so well-being will not only be the result of physical activity, but also, more importantly, the awareness of having walked together in support of a good cause.
Let's make sure that the great river of generosity and solidarity does not stop.
Never before distance has brought us closer.
