You don't need this GoFundMe page to explain what's been happening in America after the murder of George Floyd. Dan Ryckert and Mike Mahardy are two friends that have worked together for years, and they want to help in whatever small way they can.
Both of us really enjoy a game called Super Mega Baseball 3, and we want to compete in a full best-of-seven charity series while raising money for two causes that are important to us. This will consist of one game a night (schedule to come) for four to seven nights on Twitch. 100% of the proceeds raised via this GoFundMe will be split between the Pimento Relief Fund and Black Mental Health Alliance upon completion of the series and delivery of funds.
Pimento Relief Fund supports black businesses in Minneapolis that were set on fire, specifically those without insurance relief. Dan and Mike initially worked together in Minneapolis, and we want to give back to a city that was great to us and needs support right now.
Black Mental Health Alliance connects clinicians with patients and provides training, consultation, support groups, resource referral, public information, and educational resources regarding mental health and mental illness issues. Dan and Mike have both been open about their struggles with mental health over the years, and advocacy for this cause is very important to us.
Please join us and donate whatever you can to these important causes. Thank you!
