In loving memory Charlene Walton’s Memorial Fund

My mom -Charlene Walton -unexpectedly passed away on July 21, 2023, peacefully at home in her bed. Although, she dealt with chronic pain daily, death was not on the radar as a possible outcome so soon at the age of 66. As the matriarch of her family, she leaves behind a four-generation household of 8, where she was a major contributor and caregiver. Our family was set on a trajectory to create change in generational poverty, disabilities, recovery and educational barriers. We (my mom -my daughter and myself) recently completed a series of first-time home buyers courses to gain more knowledge, access, and resources for homeownership. We are still in the process of finding a suitable home for us to continue to live in together and be the base for all of her loved ones to gather. This has always been a dream of hers. Attending the college graduations of her daughter and granddaughter in May of 2024 is -a dream come true, something that she looked forward to and helped provide for -as it will mark the first in her lineage.
Now our family is at a major deficit both emotionally and financially, as their main source of leadership and income has been drastically decreased.
Charlene has touched the lives of many with her bright light, compassion, kind words and love for life. Her laugh was contagious, her hugs wrapped you in love and her spirit was like a breath of fresh air.
Charlene's legacy of perseverance, resilience and faith is what she leaves behind. Please contribute any monetary donation that you can to help her family lay her to rest, and continue to blaze the trail she began for us. To God be the glory.
