Charlene's Journey to Recovery

Many of us know and love Charlene Bandfield. My oldest son had her as a teacher back in 4th grade in 2013, and I have been friends with her ever since. She is a wonderful teacher, mother, friend, and so much more. I wanted to do a little something for her to help ease the burden of all of this, so I decided to start this fundraiser knowing she has so many people that love and care about her and her babies. As some of you know, she was out unexpectedly most of the week before Christmas Break. It turns out she had a seizure which left her in the hospital most of that week and led to further testing. Upon further testing they found a tumor which is believed to be a low-grade glioma on her brain that needs to be removed. She will be going to MD Anderson starting on Monday, January 15th and surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, January 17th. She is hoping and praying to be back as soon as she can, but she won't know for sure until it's removed and what the recovery process will look like. Best case scenario she will be 3-4 days in the hospital with 2-3 weeks of recovery at home or with at PT. We will know more after the surgery is over.
