Charles D. Morris Memorial Expenses

Tax deductible
Charles Dannie Morris, born in Florence, South Carolina and raised in Sumter South Carolina, passed away in early April of this year at his home in Fort Lauderdale. Charlie was well known and appreciated in Wilton Manors for his affable personality and his incredible musical gifts.

A friend recently wrote of him: I would like to memorialize Charlie Morris as being one of a kind person what could brighten up any room. Charlie had multiple talents – he played three different musical instruments and was a lover of gospel music. Other personal talents and gifts he shared with others involved such things as preaching and Sunday School teacher. His creative talents also included beautiful floral creations, his interests in cosmetology and makeup design, and included sewing. Back during the early years of the AIDS crisis, Charlie sewed several squares for the AIDS Memorial Quilt in memoriam of friends he lost. They were added to the National Quilt Project.

Friends from his community of faith at The United Church of Christ Fort Lauderdale are asking for gifts to assist with final life expenses. He will be interred in the Garden of Memories at the United Church of Christ Fort Lauderdale. A memorial service is being planned for Friday, November 10, at 7 PM. at the United Church of Christ Fort Lauderdale.
