Charles Thacker

Hello, all. I am here to raise funds to help relieve the burden of medical care, bills, and an uncertain future.

My name is Kyle, but I am writing this on behalf of the entire machine shop in building 133, at Anniston Army Depot. About a month ago, one of my co-workers, Charles Thacker, of Piedmont, had an unknown medical event while at work. During the event, he suffered multiple broken bones, and a traumatic brain injury. It was very touch-and-go for several weeks, but things have improved. He is improving daily, but due to the nature of his injuries, his future remains uncertain. As he continues treatment and therapy, he faces other challenges. Charles has run out of paid leave, and his wife is working a reduced schedule, in order to care for him. As bills continue to come in, unfortunately, his pay will not.

Charles is well liked, and a very valuable member of our team. We are attempting to provide assistance in any way we can, but there is only so much a small shop can do. Charles is a good man, and we are concerned about his well-being, as well as that of his family.

This brings me to the point. We need assistance, and I am here to appeal to you for it. I know its a big ask, as its the holiday season, and many of you do not know Charles or his family. However, any little bit will help. If thoughts and prayers are all that you can spare, they are greatly appreciated, as well.

A special appeal goes out to all employees of Anniston Army Depot. Charles is one of ours, and we need to take care of our own!
